  Can somebody explain the changes I read in the WT??

  my grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.

  was the watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline.

  it for a few days and apparently hasn't read up.

  Diana... here's the gist of it...

  In the early 80's, Raymond Franz exposed many lies printed in WT literature. Many One of the major lies was that all of the annointed worldwide were somehow communicating progressive Nu-Lite to the Governing Body. The Governing Body would then process this Nu-Lite and have it printed. Raymond discovered this to be completely false after he became a member of the Governing Body. He quickly learned that the GB did NOT even care to know who was of the annointed unless it was a brother who happened to be a CO or DO. But even if they did know and acknowledge some of the annointed, they would accept any input from them either.

  So as part of "damage control" they are sinking this teaching in murky waters using an ambiguous play of words that most witnesses will not understand or even care to understand...

  lurkers.... check your calendars... october 2, 2014 is only 500 days away.... look for illogical nu-lite from the wt in publications and conventions that will attempt to explain this away.. they've already bought themselves some time by splitting a "generation" into 2 overlapping generations... still, they have a lot of explaining to do... this should get really interesting... stay tuned.... .

  it's clear that dubs in general eventually forget to heed the counsel of the wt as regards viewing spiritually "dangerous" material on the internet.

  this is evident by the thousands of uploaded videos of assemblies, conventions, caleb videos, kh weddings, kingdom melodies, etc.

  that can be found on youtube and other similar sites.

  It's clear that dubs in general eventually forget to heed the counsel of the WT as regards viewing spiritually "dangerous" material on the internet. This is evident by the thousands of uploaded videos of assemblies, conventions, caleb videos, kh weddings, kingdom melodies, etc. that can be found on YouTube and other similar sites. Some dubs remember to disable the comments section or set it up such that comments are held for review prior to posting. But, incredibly, I find that most dubs leave their videos wide open for any comment, good or bad.

  This presents excellent opportunities to expose the lies, manipulation and corruption of the Watchtower Corporation. I have been posting my comments on dub YouTube videos for several months now and i can tell you that I have had at least a 10 to 15% success rate in waking people up (or at least planting a seed)... If you are the type of person who is generally patient and can take an insult now and then, I challenge you to go on YouTube today and find a video uploaded by a dub. You'd be surprized how easily some dubs engage in frank conversation about the GB and the WT...

  In JW Land, it's wrong to place children on a pedestal or honor them like worldly people do with birthdays, etc.. But it's OK to place them on a pedestal in front of 100 people and then give them a great round of applause (as long as this will help remedy their youth retention issues)...

  Another point I'd like to make.... S A F E T Y F I R S T ! ! !

  Who was the idiot who put this kid in harm's way by making him climb on a chair with flip-flops on... that's an accident waiting to happen... after many decades of j-dub children giving parts from the platform, you'd think the WT would have already fabricated podiums for children by now... morons...

  this case is in it's 9th year an has been touched upon briefly on and off.. the latest from the federal court is that all gated communites in puerto rico have until april 23 to provide the watchtower corporation full access.... this means the entry code or remote control devices that open the front fence.. this is clearly an act of provocation in order to create "pseudo-persecution" thereby increasing fs hours and "voluntary donations"....

  Band on the Run... sorry I missed your question...

  This law originated in 1987. Basically, it allows certain exisiting neighborhoods and future developments to close off the neighborhood and create limited access points (usually 1 but sometimes 2). These access points (or front gate, if you like) are intended to simply "control" vehicle access. This means that a guard is placed at the front gate and will ask everyone who doesn't have a remote (to open the gate) what they intend to do once they enter the gate (visit someone, pass out fliers, whatever). The gaurd then writes down the license plate and the visitor is free to enter since all streets in Puerto Rico are considered to be public.

  However, over the years, people on the island have slowly lost sight of the intent of this law and it later became a generally accepted assumption that only residents and visitors were allowed access (aside from the obvious... trash pick-up, FedEx, UPS, etc.).

  It's a little more complicated than that... but that's the gist of it...

  Why do they call it the New World Translation?

  does anyone know why the watchtower named their bible the new world translation of the holy scriptures?

  it's been awhile since i have even had any of their books in my home, and most of the time i don't think about it.

  i don't know why, but when i think of that title, the phrase new world order keeps popping up in my mind..

  When this Bible was first published, the Watchtower Corporation (or should I just say Frederick Franz?) had already been publishing several books and Watchtower articles that contained the Masonic phrase "New World Order". It became the catch phrase that would also be frequently heard in conversations between JWs. However, eventually many JWs began to write the Society to question the use of this Masonic phrase, so this catch phrase later evolved into "New Order", then "New System of Things", then just "New System". But the name "New World Translation" is based on the Freemason's phrase "New World Order".

  mass exodus will start in November 2014 and JW population will probably drop to just under 6 million by the end on 2017 before stabilizing again after some bull shit NuLite explaining away Jesus' falling asleep as the wheel...

  People who pioneer on government assistance

  i had a chat with my boyfriend about this, and he said that he knows quite a few pioneers who are capable of working but prefer to pioneer with government assistance.

  his thought was, "well, it's kind of bad, but at least they're doing something useful/good with their time.

  " i know from reading this board that it's a pretty widespread thing.

  Shirley... that is rare. Most elders are happy to show the CO how many pio-sneers they have in their congo while hiding the fact that some may be getting by on workmen's comp or other state-funded benefits... In my ex-congo, there is elder/pioneer who is on workmen's comp, yet he frequently performs cleaning duties at assemblies and garden work at the KH...
